Montana Criminal Records and Public Records is a department of Justice service, which gives people a mandate to search the state's criminal history records database. The services provide electronic access to criminal history information, as defined in Section 44-5-301 of the Montana Code Annotated.
What are the Montana Laws Concerning Public Record Information?
The Montana Public Records Act highlights that all citizens have a right to access public records in the state. On the other hand, the Montana Constitution states that no person can be denied public records. In other words, the Montana Public records Act has a series of laws designed to guarantee the public access to public records maintained by all government bodies.
